EnTRAINER presents the policy event: “Paving the way to net-zero energy in industry and small and medium-sized enterprises”.

On June 11th, as part of European Sustainable Energy Week (#EUSEW2024), an online event is scheduled from 14:30 to 16:00 CEST. EnTRAINER, along with its 5 Sister Projects, AUDIT2MEASURE, DEESME2050, EE4SMEs, EE4HORECA, and KNOWnNEBs, are organising the event. The goal of the six projects is to address decarbonization and promote a clean energy transition for Europe’s industrial and productive SME sectors.

Agnese Riccetti of the EnTRAINER Project will introduce the event, giving the floor to three speakers for three strategic pitches in support of the thematic #EU policy:

Pitch #1 Existing gaps and barriers in implementing energy efficiency projects – presented by Ioanna Makarouni, EPU-NTUA;
Pitch #2 The challenges on data – presented by Timothy Alden, Malta Business Bureau; and
Pitch #3 Adding value to energy efficiency investments – presented by Gatis Žogla, Ekodoma Ltd.

The second part of the event sees an interactive roundtable, featuring experts with in-depth knowledge of multi-benefits, financing schemes for EE measures, and energy efficiency in industries:
• Eline Blanchard, European Federation of Intelligent Energy Efficiency Services;
• Edyta Nowak, Directorate-General for Energy European Commission; and
• Ettore Piantoni, CEN-CENELEC.

The round table including also a Q&A session from the audience, will be led by Dušan Jakovljević, Energy Efficiency in Industrial Processes.
